The caliper pistons use hydraulic pressure to force the brake pads onto the brake discs. The friction between the stationary brake pads and spinning brake rotor cause the vehicle to decrease in speed or come to a complete stop depending on the amount of pressure the operator applies to the brake pedal. Comes as a pair for one caliper.
